Benoît CHARLOT / Diy Cameras / 24x25mm Pinhole/h1>

This is a simple 24x24mm pinhole camera that uses standard 135 film.

The camera is made with a simple wood box bought for 147 yens in Tokyu Hands in Shibuya (but any other wood box with proper dimensions should fit).

The inside of the box is divided in three parts, one that receives the film cartridge, one that is the dark room and the third being the one that receives to winding spool. The distance between the wood plates being 24mm to create square 24x24mm negatives (50 views with a 36 view 135 film). These wood plates are glued to leave a 2mm gap with the back plate to guide the film. A winding system is built with screws and bolts and an empty 135 spool. The inside and outside is painted with black matte paint (This f***** wood being transparent to red light). Focal length 35mm, hole diameter 250 microns, f:140. You can design your pinhole here.

The front plate is just attached to the box, it receives the pinhole and the shutter. The latter is home made with a piece of black plastic, somes screws and one spring.

Images are quite low fi and show horizontal stripes (film sliding on the wood)
